    Good Rev/Bad Rev

Good Rev/Bad Rev (good review/bad review) is a multiple depicting the schizophrenic world of art criticism at the artist’s hand. His interests in the colliding of two worlds, his and that of others offers a unique and very Gillmore presentation, full of intrigue, duplicity and wit. The circling of words in the work is an act of possession by the artist, making them visual objects as well as having verbal syntax. A fascination in the architectonic of text as an art form shapes the composition and the tension created visually as we make sense of the image as text (reading it verbally top to bottom) and pictorially (reading it bottom to top) combine to create a most compelling work.
